Selected work

Institutional sales, run by one person

Canadian asset manager, $1B+. Its first institutional salesperson inherited an out-of-date CRM, no prospect list and no written sales process.

I coached him for three months to write down how he sells, before automating anything. Then a new CRM, a script that scores 14,000 investor records on his own criteria, and AI that drafts his emails overnight. He edits and sends.

He runs a 200-investor pipeline on his own for under $2 a day in AI cost.

Analyst know-how, turned into procedures

Provider Directory, a healthcare data platform fed by 300+ Canadian registries. Each data error opens a ticket.

I directed the build: eight ticket types became written procedures an AI agent follows, drawing on the existing documentation and the ticket history. An analyst reviews every fix before it goes live.

On the first ticket type, analyst time fell from 4.5 to 1.5 hours per ticket, or 7 analyst hours back each week.

About me

I created Stimilo after ten years running RefinePro, my data consultancy, with the same aim of putting data and AI tools in the hands of the people who do the work. I've led more than ten long-term projects, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, and I contribute to OpenRefine, an open-source data tool. The method hasn't changed since my master's in IT management: write down how experts work, then build around it.
